What resources are in

North America

There are multiple resources in all of Canada and

the U.S. Some of the resources are Coal, Fish,
Copper, Iron, Natural Gas, Timber, and more.
These resources helped both countries progress
to becoming devolved countries.

Location

The location of the
resources varies but many
of the resources are closer
to the U.S. An example of
the resources that are
closer can be the coal. Or
the wood plants in
Canada. They are also in
different regions as well.

There are different characteristics of natural
resources. Some human characteristics are
building places to harvest natural
resources. An example can be humans building
oil refineries, and mines people built to get
ore. They build it to improve their quality of
life.

Another type of characteristics physical. Those are physical features set up near the natural
resources. There are oil and natural gas locations near the Appalachian Basin. Another location is the Blue Ridge mountains. There are multiple minerals near the location, like copper and gold.

Place

Region

The resources vary in the regions
in both Canada and the U.S. The
resource map, it shows that most
of the wood resources are toward
the western coast from the U.S.
into Canada. There is also no oil
production in the eastern region of
North America.

​But there are also physical features
that also affect North Americas
natural resources. The waterways
are a great example. They help with
trade, and they provide fish, another
natural resource. An example of a
physical feature can be the Candan
shield, It can provide resources like
gold, copper, silver, and more.

We use some resources to make food, houses,
and roads, etc...

People uses coal as a fuel for electric power.

In the production of energy coal is used aswell.

•Aside from coal a natural resource we
use could be timber. Timber is used like
when people are doing construction
work. They can then use these materials
to make buildings.

• Then there's copper. You can usually find

copper in things that involve electricity or
like in electric generators, wires, and like
cables.

• We also use petroleum. This is used to like

produce electricity and heat up buildings.
It is also used to move vehicles.

Movement

• One-way Natural Resources impact the movement of people would be that many people uses certain natural resources to do things like run a business. This would cause those people to move to an area where they can find more of these resources to make their business more successful, and they can make more money.

• ​When it comes to the movement of goods, people, and ideas transportation is needed. Certain natural resources is needed in order for us to have different forms of transportation. For example, goods can be transported by trains and some trains use coal as like a way of getting fuel.

Pollution-

Air pollution is caused by smoke caused by deforestation and toxins from machines. It can also lead to more waste in the environment.

​Overmining is a problem when people
mine resources more than needed. If
mining is not done properly, it can release
harmful chemicals into the air and other
places.

​Deforestation is when construction cuts
down more trees than necessary. It can
lead to air pollution and less oxygen. It
can also lead to soil erosion
