Vocabulary

• bivariate data - a data set with two quantities that can vary (change). Every scatter plot is created from bivariate data.

• clustering - data shows clustering if the data values are grouped closely together.

• linear relationship - two variables have a linear relationship if they have a constant rate of change and they can be represented by a graph.

• non-linear relationship - they do not have a constant rate of change and they can be represented by a graph that is not a straight line.
