overall appearance of something or someone

●Sound - describe the auditory elements or the way

things sounds

●Smell - describe odor that travel through the air

●Taste - describe flavor of substances such as food

and various chemicals

●Touch - describe how something feels a variety of

receptors in the skin

Example of sensory writing for a football game:

●Sight - Salina sees a whole crowd of supporter
along the field.

●Sound - Salina hears her parents shouting her
name and cheering for her.

●Smell - Salina smells toasted popcorns sold
across the field.

●Taste - Salina still sense the fizzy taste from the
coke she drank before the match.

●Touch - Salina feels the ball as she control it with
her foot.
