Qualitative evaluation provides you with the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of a program or process. It involves the “why” and the “how” and allows a deeper look at issues of interest and to explore nuances.
QUALITATIVE EVALUATION

Open-ended questions and probes yield in-depth responses about people’s experiences, Perceptions, opinions, feelings, and knowledge.
Interviews.
Fieldwork descriptions of activities, behaviors, actions, conversations, interpersonal interactions, organizational or community processes, or any other aspect of observable human experience.
Observations.
Written materials and other documents from organizational, clinical, or program records; Memoranda and correspondence; official publications and reports; personal diaries, letters, artistic Works, photographs, and memorabilia; and written responses to open-ended surveys.
Documents.
Qualitative methods include three kinds of data collection:
