The past simple is used for COMPLETED ACTIONS in the past and for habits in the past.

These are examples of irregular verbs

In the past simple we have regular and irregular verbs

for example

speak X speaked because it's irregular. the past is SPOKE

remember some verbs are irregular so be careful

for example

walk ---> walked

jump---> jumped

add -ed to verbst
