We are all blessed in the eyes of God when we listen to his Word. God is always searching for us even though we are sinful. He is always waiting for us to return to Him and to embrace us back as His children.

Reflections:

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches his disciples the lesson on "blessedness". Eight blessings in the Gospel of Matthew and Four blessings in the Gospel of Luke.

The Beatitudes​

Beatitude Meaning

• The word beatitude comes from the Latin beatitudo, meaning "blessedness."

• The phrase "blessed are" in each beatitude implies a current state of happiness or well-being.

The synoptic gospels each contain Jesus’ teaching of the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-9; Mark 4:1-9; Luke 8: 4-8)

These represents who we are in relation to the seed which is the Word of God. The way we receive and respond to the Word of God correspond to what kind of soil we are.

If you are a shepherd and one of your 100 sheep went astray, will you leave the 99 just to search for that one lost sheep?

Parable of the Lost Sheep

God seeks out for sinners and rejoices once they are found. Every one of us are important for God that He is willing to search for every individual who is lost.

Do you also care to search for those who are lost and accept them once they were found?
