Simple Present Tense

Simple present tense adalah salah satu dari beberapa bentuk present tense dalam bahasa Inggris. Tense ini digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan kebiasaan, situasi yang tidak berubah, kebenaran umum, dan jadwal tetap. Simple present tense sangat mudah untuk dibentuk. Gunakan saja kata dasar dari kata kerja: (I take, you take, we take, they take). Bentuk orang ketiga tunggal menggunakan -s di akhir kata dasar. (he takes, she takes)

• Untuk menunjukkan kebiasaan, kebenaran umum, tindakan berulang atau situasi yang tidak berubah, emosi, dan harapan:

• Untuk memberikan instruksi atau arahan:
  You walk for two hundred meters, then you turn left.

• Untuk menyatakan jadwal tetap di masa kini maupun masa depan:

• Untuk menyatakan waktu di masa depan setelah konjungsi: after, when, before, as soon as, until:
