When=single actions While=on-going actions

Two actions

'When' and 'while' are both used to show two actions that are happening at the same time. However, there is a small distinction that requires your attention.

Some text here about the topic of discussion

Two actions: one single, the other continuous.

• He called when I was sleeping.

• He called while I was sleeping.

When or while goes before the continuous action.

Two actions: one continuous, the other single.
