​Many advances and developments were created or appeared during this period, wars were fought, governments systems were overthrone, new vocabulary appeared, and many other things happened throughout this period.

But the most important one is the creation of the Polis​

In Ancient Greece, it originally referred to an administrative and religious city center, as distinct from the rest of the city.

​Later, it also came to mean the body of citizens under a city's jurisdiction.

During this period they experienced several transformations in the matter of government that led to the development of an early democracy at the end of the period​​.

Their economy was based on the production of wheat and ​barley, in some areas the also produced, grapes, olives, fruits and vegetables.

They traded with lands al over the Agean and to the east.

Although they used barter an early money economy was exhibited by the ancient greeks, they used metal spits and objects as an exchange measured value.

Later in this period they adopted and expanded the use of coins ​across the ancient world.

​Thanks to their continuous development, they grew as a prominent land, and therefore influenced many cultures throughout the ancient world.

They are considered the cradle of western civilization.​
