The author’s point of view is that the referee was the star of the game and the ‘fastest man on the planet’.

The evidence which supports the author’s point of view can be found in the headline “referee steals the show” and the repetition of this same phrase throughout the article.

This supports author’s point of view because the phrase ‘stole the show’ is positive evaluative language to influence the audience into thinking his sprint was a massive achievement.
