But not the only one
To report what other people have said, you can use say or a specific verb For example: 'I'll drive you to the airport.' Jude said he would drive me to the airport. Jude offered to drive me to the airport. |

Depending on the verb we use, we need to follow certain grammar rules

We follow these verbs with to + infinitive:

offer
refuse
promise

not +to+ infinitive
I promised not to tell anyone.
