SAE Project Types

​For those students interested in raising livestock, but who cannot commit to carrying out their own full livestock project - we can always use help on the farm! Assist with cleaning and care of animals, learn to handle animals, etc.

Livestock Assistant

​For those students interested in rabbit projects, but not quite ready for your own yet. Assist in cleaning and care of rabbits, learn to handle and care for rabbits

Rabbit Assistant

​Learn about small animals and help care for the class pets! **Only about 2 students per class period can do this project.

Class Pet Caretaker

Work together to organize one, or multiple, donation drives to collect needed items for local animal shelters.

Collect items from students & staff.

Sort items, prepare for delivery.​

​​Shelter Donations Project

​Collect recyclables to turn in for cash.

Work together with others to collect, clean and sort recyclables.

Decide together where to donate the money to.​

Recycling Project

Help care for our soon-to-be small flock of school chickens! Learn what chickens eat and how to care for them. Help with collecting and storing eggs in the future.

Chicken Caretakers

Especially for students in our Aquaponics course. Grow and sell produce from our greenhouse on farmers market days and to staff.

​School Based Projects

Raise a lamb or goat project for a fair. This is a 3 month long project, requiring commitment on weekends. Learn to care for and handle large animals.

Sell your animal at the fair, and maybe even make some money!
