PERSONAL PRONOUNS

Take the place of nouns. We have both:

• Subject Pronouns: I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they.

• Objects Pronouns: me, you, him, her, it, us, you, them.​

POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS

Possessive Pronouns help us​ show a noun´s possession or ownership, also called "absolute" or "strong".

REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS

Refer or reflect back to the subject. They can only be used after a name or pronoun to whi​ch they refer.​​

Myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves​.

RELATIVE PRONOUNS

Is used to connect a clause or a phrase to a noun or pronoun. The clause modifies or describes the noun.

Who, whom, whose, which, that, whoever, whomever, whichever

Example

The piggy bank that was​ on my desk got broken.

The robots, ​which were waiting outside, were ready for shipment.

​

DEMONSTRATIVES PRONOUNS

Used to ​demonstrate any object or something in a sentence.

Can be:

• Singular: this, that

• Plural: these, those​​

INDEFINITE PRONOUNS

Take the place of unspecified nouns.

Another, all, any, anybody, anyone, anything, both, each, either, enough, everybody, everyone, everything, few, fewer, less, little, many, more, must, much, neither, none, nothing, other, several, some, somebody, someone, something, such.​

Example:

Anything is possible if you believe.​

INTERROGATIVE PRONOUNS

These pronouns take the place of things and are used to ask questions.

Adjectives are words that describe the qualities or states, and they can also describe the quantity of nouns.

​

​ADJECTIVES

​

Is a word that modifies​ a verb, an adjective, another adverb or even a whole sentence. Often end in -ly, but some look exactly the same as their adjective counterparts.
