Scavengers are animals that eat the flesh of the dead animals. Scavengers are important for our environment because they help clean the environment by eating the dead animals. Without scavengers our environment would be with dead animals. Examples of scavengers are Vulture, Jackal, Crow etc.

Decomposers are micro-organisms that convert the dead animals and plants into humus ( Organic Layer ) . Example: soil bacterium, fungus, toadstool etc.
