CS Unit 3 T6 - Cloud Storage

Uptimes for data centres are often better than 99.99%

The buildings will have temperature control and air conditioning to keep the servers as warm as possible

Data centres are buildings that are dedicated to storing physical servers

Cloud storage companies can all be trusted with company data

Each server will contain an array of hard drives

is where multiple copies of files are stored in different locations

is the ability of the storage system or cloud computing resources to increase in size

You can access your data any time

You can have a copy of your local data which mirrors the version stored in the cloud

Companies and organisations will need to consider Data stored locally is under the control of a single person or organisation

Both cloud storage and local storage may be hacked, however, typically clouds will rain when you least expect it.
