Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889. His father was an official with hopes of his son becoming a leader as well; Adolf, though, wanted to become an artist. After he was rejected from the Vienna Academy of Arts and his mother died, Hitler joined the German army in WW1. This greatly influenced his hate towards Jewish people; later, he was the leader of the Nazi political party that supported his views. In 1933, because he became the German leader, he gave himself absolute power. Eventually, after receiving absolute power, he murdered millions of Jews. In 1945, with his wife, they both committed suicide. EF

The Weimar Republic. This republic was not strong therefore, the Nazi Party had an easy advantage to be able to takeover the Weimar Republic. Hitler was also able to promise the economy to be better after the Great Depression, this made Adolf able to gain many supporters. KM

Hitler was a persuasive public speaker, this proved to Germany he could be a strong and influencing leader. Hitler would organize marches to get others to join the Nazi party. Hitler also promised his people better jobs and pay. LC

What actions did Hitler take to keep control?
Hitler gave himself absolute rule so, he had full control over Germany and did not have anyone to compete with.
