Present simple

We use the present simple to talk about habits and routines

When answering questions: we use 'Yes, I do' // 'No, I don't' OR 'Yes, he/she does' and 'No, he/she doesn't'.

We use adverbs of frequency to say how often we do things.

We use the present cont. to talk about things that are happening at the moment we speak

To make questions in the present continuous, we use the verb be instead of do

Comparatives and superlatives

Past simple

We use the past simple to talk about finished actions in the past

The verb be is always irragular and can change according to the subject (was // were)

Past Continuous

We use the past continuous to talk about something that was happening in the past
