​Dalil thaharah tertulis dalam Quran surat Al Baqarah ayat 222. Allah SWT berfirman menyukai orang-orang yang bertaubat dan bersuci

Arab: اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِيْنَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِيْنَ

Latin: Innallāha yuḥibbut-tawwābīna wa yuḥibbul-mutaṭahhirīn
