The World Wild lite Fund is an international, non-governmental organization (NGO). Their main purpose is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature by: 1)Conserving the world’s biological diversity, 2) Ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable, and 3) Promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.

The Bay Island Conservation Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organization in Honduras dedicated to preserve the natural resources of its three Islands. They do community outreach and awareness on the importance and fragility of the island ecosystems.

Forests of the World

Forests of the World is an environmental NGO founded in Denmark with the objective to conserve and manage the worIds forests in a sustainable way. They have multiple conservation projects alI over the world. In Honduras, they focus on the Nombre de Dios mountain range, which consists of five protected areas: The Pico Bonito National Park, the Texiguat Wildlife Refuge the Nombre de Dios National Park, and the Wamakklisinasta and Truktsinasta councils in La Moskitia.​
