• Design is interesting

​

• Shows high level of detail using both additive and subtractive techniques.

• Added textures are correctly scored and slipped onto slab.

  ​

• Nothing appears unstable or likely to “pop” in kiln.

​

Texture, Pattern & Color 

​To get full points for this category you must have the following:

​

• Shows at least 2 additive textures

  ​

• Shows at least 2 subtractive textures

​

• Pattern is used to create texture.

  ​

• Bisque fired work has been successfully covered by glazes. 

​

Craftsmanship

​To get full points for this category you must have the following:

​

• Textures are even and neat and look like you put effort into them

  ​​

  Sculpture is neat with minimal stray marks 

​

• Good use of clay and glaze materials

​

• Smooth transitions are seen between parts of the clay

​

​Time & Effort

​To get full points for this category you must have the following:

​

• Student has worked diligently and put in the necessary time and effort to produce a superior product

• The student took the projects seriously and remained focused during class​
