أنَّ الهمزة التي تقعُ في أوَّلِ الكلمة نوعان :
همزة القطع التي تُلفظُ حيثُ تقعُ في بداية الكلام وفي أثنائه ، وتُرْسَمُ على الألف
عند الكتابة كما في ( أبسط ، أشكال ، إنسان ، أحمد ، أتقنَ ، أخرج ...)
همزة الوصل التي تُلْفَظُ في بداية الكلام ، ولا تظهر في أثنائه ، ولا تُرسمُ على
الألف عندَ الكتابة ، مثل : ( اختراعات ، اسْتَخْدَمَ ، اثنان ، ابن ، اقْرَأْهُ ، اسْم ..)
