​The Tank and Flamethrower were widely used during the first world war while The Sten Gun (invented in 1940) and The M1 Garand (invented in 1936) wasn't invented until after the war.

​Sidney Lewis was the youngest soldier to enlist in WW1! He was only 13 years old when he was involved in the Battle of The Somme. Many other teenagers would also enlist in the war (just 13-17 years old).
