New Moon- When none of the moon is illuminated
Waxing Crescent Moon- when a small piece of the moon is lit up on the right side
Waning Crescent Moon- when less than half of the moon is illuminated on the left side.
Waxing gibbous moon - when more than half the moon is illuminated on the right side ( light coming on)
