What zone do you think The Grinch is in due to all the noise?

• If you were in this situation--there were different loud noises all around and you could not get away from it, how would you feel? Zone?

• Imagine--noise cancelling headphones playing relaxing music. Would your stress level go down? 

• Could you reach the green zone by blocking out all other noises and relaxing to the soothing sounds playing in your headphones?

SCENARIO 2:​

How’s Moana feeling when she’s making suggestions to find fish but her dad cuts her off and shuts her down?

• If you’re in an argument with someone and they won’t hear your side, what zone are you in? 

• If you take 10 calming breaths, do you believe you will get out of the previous zone and be able to talk calmly to discuss your side? Would it bring you closer to green?
