3

ANGRY AT OR ANGRY WITH?

If directed at a person "angry with" should always be used. And it can also be used to depict irritation towards a non-living thing

e.g. I was very angry with her.

I’m so angry at my phone for not working when I need it the most.”

If directed at a situation I believe "angry at" would also be acceptable.

e.g. I was very angry at how rainy it was.

Angry about can also be used to refer to a situation.

“They were so angry about the things she said about them behind their backs.”

4

ANGRY AT OR ANGRY WITH?

The key is who the anger is aimed at. "Angry at" is not really aimed at anyone.

"Are you angry with me?" is correct.

Curiously, we also say "are you mad at me?" which can cause some confusion.
