• ​Countable nouns are the ones that we can count (1, 2, 3, ...)

• ​In singular, they can take the indefinite article "a" or "an". e.g There is a book on the desk.

• ​In plural, they take the ending "s". e.g There are 2 apples in the basket.

• They can sometimes take the word "some" (μερικοί, μερικές, μερικά). e.g I can see some flowers in the garden.

• Uncountable ​are those nouns that we cannot count.

• ​They have only singular form.

• ​They cannot take either "a" or "an".

• ​We can use the word "some" with uncountable nouns- here, it means: λίγος, λίγη, λίγο. e.g There is some milk in the bottle.

• Uncountable ​nouns are usually those in the form of: liquid (υγρά), powder (σκόνη), or grains (κόκκοι). e.g I've got some juice in my glass. There is some sugar in the bowl.
