Short term effects of exercise​

​When a person exercises, the body systems all work together. These systems do this to supply energy to the working muscles.

Long term effects of exercise

​Athletes often take part in regular exercise or training three times per week. If they do this for six weeks, it will lead to adaptation of the body systems.

This has the effect of increasing performance in that type of exercise or sport. It is also beneficial to general health and everyday life
