​Pengertian Simple Present

​Simple present tense adalah tenses/rumusan kalimat yang digunakan ketika suatu kejadian sedang berlangsung saat ini atau kejadian yang berlangsung berulang kali (kebiasaan).

​Contoh Kalimat Simple Present

​A. Untuk menunjukkan kejadian berulang yang berlangsung saat ini.

1. I take the motorcycle to the office

2. The train to Bekasi leaves every hour.

3. George sleeps seven hours every night during the week.

​Contoh Kalimat Simple Present

B. Untuk menunjukkan suatu fakta.

1. The President of Indonesia is Joko Widodo.

2.A snake has no legs.

3. Indonesia has thirty-four provinces, from Sabang to Merauke.​

​Contoh Kalimat Simple Present

C.Untuk menunjukkan suatu kebiasaan (habit).

1.Doni gets up early at 5 o’clock every day.

2.John takes a bath twice a day.

3.Every year on Lebaran, most people travel to their hometown.​

​Jenis Simple Present

1.Simple Present Tense Affirmative

adalah kalimat simple present dalam bentuk kalimat positif

contoh :

She reads Harry Potter books every day.

They watch new movies every Sunday.​

2.Simple Present Tense Negative

adalah kalimat simple present dalam bentuk kalimat negatif

contoh :

​Rumus Simple Present

1. Afirmative : S + V1 /to be + O (to be, is,am,are)

​​2. Negative : S + do/does/ to be + Not + V1 + O

​3. Introgative : do/does/to be + S + V1 + O
