​First off you have to understand where the decimal point is. It comes after the one, now something that may be confusing is that there is no ones on the right side. There is three little letters at the end that could also confuse you. They are ths. So for example it would be Hundredths instead of Hundreds. It is VERY important to remember the ths!

​Now you need to know how to add decimals. FIRST: You need your equation (WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN). SECOND: Line it up like you would normal addition. Make sure the decimal points are lined up. THIRD: Add like normal!

​Now you need to know how to subtract decimals. FIRST: You need your equation (WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN). SECOND: Line it up like you would normal subtraction. Make sure the decimal points are lined up. THIRD: Subtract like normal!

TIP: You can get whole numbers and​ you DO NOT have to put a decimal point
