Both terms "Hispanic" and "Latino" refer to ethnicity, culture, and identity. They are groups based on shared culture rather than skin color, race, or other physical features.

​Though people use them interchangeably, these terms are very different.

In contrast, Latino

• ​says nothing about your race; Latinos may be White, Black, Indigenous, Asian, etc.

is Colombian-American; she is from Baranquilla-Colombia. Sofía speaks Spanish and also has an American citizenship. So, she is a hispanic-latin and American actress.

​Pedro Linares

was a Mexican popular artist; he was from Ciudad de Mexico-Mexico. Pedro Linares spoke Spanish. So,

he is a hispanic-latin craftman .

​Hispanic refers to Spanish-speaking people, and as well as someone with a Spanish-speaking country background, though they do not speak the ancestors' language.
