• ​Subtract the constant [14] from both sides

• ​20 - 14 = 6

• ​Your final answer is y=6

• ​When you have a SUBTRACTION equation your inverse is:

  • ​Addition

• Add the constant [120] to both sides

• 80 + 120 = 200

• ​When you have a MULTIPLICATION equation your inverse is:

  • ​Division

• Divide the Coefficient on both sides

• 3/3 = 1/1 = 1

• ​12/3 = 4

• ​When you have a DIVISION equation your inverse is:

  • ​Multiplication

• Multiply the denominator on both sides
