Discrete Relations: A set of individual points (ordered pairs) and can be graphed as unconnected points.
NOTE: An Ordered Pair contains the x-coordinate and y-coordinate of any given point.
** Always written in the form (x, y) **
Discrete Relations can be represented in four ways.
1. List of ordered pairs {(-2,1), (1,4), (-2,3), (3,1), (0,-3)}
2. Table (as pictured)
3. Graph (as pictured)
4. Mapping (as pictured)
3
Multiple Choice
The first number in an ordered pair is...
the larger number.
the x-coordinate.
the y-coordinate.

Domain & Range: Discrete Relations
Domain: The x-coordinates used in the relation
Range: They y-coordinates used in a relation
For Discrete Relations these are lists of numbers.
Be sure to take notes on how to properly list domain and range!
