​The Arab League is a political and economic organization.

• ​It is the second after the Russian Federation in area, around 14 million km2.

​The largest Arab cities are:

​The headquarters

​The Arab league headquarter is located in Cairo.

• ​In 1979, Egypt's membership was suspended from the Arab League and moved the headquarter from Cairo to Tunis due to the Egyptian-Israeli Peace Treaty signing.

• ​Later the Arab countries restored diplomatic relations with Egypt and readmitted the country to the League, so the Arab league moved the headquarter back to Cairo.
