​​Why is Peer Editing Important?

• ​You will be often participating in peer editing in Middle & High School.

• ​Partners are able to find minor mistakes that we are sometimes unable to see.

• ​​Some times our papers do not flow, and our partners can see it in a different way for others to understand.

• ​When writing for colleges applications, they look for minor mistakes.​

​What we will be doing today

• ​You will be turning your paper to me.

• ​I will be going to redistribute your paper to one of your peers.

• ​Your peers will read, then correct how they see fit.

• ​After 20minutes, I will be recollecting the papers, then redistributing them back to you.

• ​We will take a break and watch part of a movie where plate boundaries create large mass destruction.

• ​You will read your paper again and see if you would like to fix your mistakes or sentences based on your peer's edits.

• ​We will play a quizizz to help you on your test Friday.

• ​The San Andreas Fault is where the North American and Pacific Plates (Tectonic Plates) touch.

• ​The SAF is about 800 miles long and about 10 miles deep.

• ​Continuously moving and gets stuck.

• Sudden slip or rock breaking will cause an earthquake.
