​The United nation' main headquarters are based in New York.

​It consists of six main organs, which are:

​1. The General Assembly

2. ​The Security Council

​3. The Economic and social council.

​4. The trusteeship council.

​5. The international court of Justice./

The World court

​6. The Secretariat

​1. The General Assembly:

• ​it is known as a "Parliament of nations."

• ​All UN Members States are represented in it.

​2. The Security Council:

• ​It is responsible for maintaining peace and security.

• ​It consists of 10 members & 5 permanent members.

​

​The permanent members are:

China, Russia, France, UK and the USA

​3. The Economic & Social Council:

• ​It is Responsible for fostering international co-operation in developing societies.

• ​It reviews the major economic, social and humanitarian issues.

​4. The Trusteeship Council:

• ​It is responsible for providing international supervision over trust territories.

5. ​The International Court of Justice /the World court:

• ​It is responsible for solving disputes between countries.

​6. The Secretariate:

• ​It carries out the administrative work of the UN.

• ​Its head is the Secretary-General, who is the head of all of the organs of the United Nations.
