Persamaan kuadrat adalah persamaan yang variabelnya memiliki pangkat tertingginya dua dan biasanya dituliskan sebagai,

ax² + bx + c = 0

dengan,

Bilangan a, b, dan c pada persamaan kuadrat disebut sebagai koefisien

BENTUK PERSAMAAN KUADRAT

Contoh Persamaan Kuadrat :

x² + 4x + 10 = 0
2y² - 8 = 0
m²= 81
4n² = 2n + 4

Bukan Contoh Persamaan Kuadrat :

x³ - 3x² + 5x + 13 = 0
2y - 10 = 0
m⁶= 64
6n³ + 2n = 8n² + 16
