Nouns
NOUNS are words that name people, places, things, animals, activities or concepts.
Nouns comprises of Common (Kata Nama Am) and Proper Nouns (Kata Nama Khas).

1. Common and Proper Nouns
Common Nouns - someone or something by a general name.
Proper Nouns - specific people, animals, things and places. They always begin with capital letters.

a) Singular and Plural
When a noun refers to one thing, place, animal or person, it is singular,
When it refers to more than one, it is plural.

b) Countable and Uncountable
Countable Nouns - Nouns that can be counted and have singular and plural form. Example: cat/cats.
Uncountable Nouns - Nouns that are not used in the plural form (no 's') or that occur as a mass. You cannot add 's' to uncountable nouns. Example: some furnitures (X), some furniture (/)

c) Concrete or Abstract
Concrete Nouns - Nouns that we can touch, hear, see, taste or smell. Example: Cat, tin, rice, Ann.
Abstract Nouns - Refer to ideas, concepts, feelings and activities. Example: Love, anger, hate.

3. Possessive Nouns
Possesive Nouns shows that something belongs to someone.
An apostrophe ('s/s') is added to show that somebody owns something.
Example: (singular nouns) - boy's shoes, mother's room.
(Plural nouns) - monkey's tails, teacher's report.
