What is Drama?
Drama is written in the form of a script. The beginning of the script will usually list the cast of characters. Dramas are divided into acts and scenes. An act is a larger section of the story, which may contain many scenes. Each time there is a change in time or setting, there is a new scene. A drama’s story is told through dialogue, or what the characters say. Stage direction, written in italics and in parentheses, tells what the characters do. Stage direction is an important part of the storytelling, but it is never spoken out loud.
