Friday the 11th

Yesterday, when I speeded up the math video, I felt kind of

irritated because we were running out of time;
amused because it was funny to hear the recording at double speed.

It reminded me of those commercials for medications.

You know how they say the side-effects at the end and they're super fast?

I thought it might be fun to pretend we are making a commercial for Eureka math or for the SEL company.

For example, someone could say "Eureka Math Is Amazing! You learn about....

Why do something the easy way when you can make it harder and more confusing?

Let's measure a bunch of pencils and make a plot diagram!
YEAH!!!!!
I am going to keep track of how many pints of milk I drink next year, and then convert it all to ounces!

So we would say a bunch of EXTREMELY EXCITING (but not really) things about the curriculum and then....

before your 30 seconds is up.....

SAY, as quickly as possible, what the negative side-effects could be.

We could record a person saying it and then, when we get to the part where they say the side effects, push the button that makes it go even faster. It MIGHT be kind of funny.

Like this, but when we get to the side effects part I am going to press the "2x" button to speed it up.
