This is all the activities related to identifying, assessing and managing the vulnerabilities, threats and attacks originating from cyberspace.

Computer security has four main elements: 

Vulnerability Threat Attack Countermeasure.  

Vulnerability - Exposure to the possibility of being attacked or harmed.

Threat - A statement of an intention to inflict harm or damage.

Attack - Actual action that causes harm or damage.

Countermeasure - An action taken to counteract a threat.
