EF Lv3-4 T1 Mid term review

David and Faye go down to the beach. They see their friend Daniela. "Hi, Daniela, it's hot today!" says Faye. "Hi. Yeah. Do you want ice cream?" Daniela asks. Faye says, "Yes, please." David gives her the money. "We're going swimming," says Faye. "Okay, have a good time. See you later," says Daniela.

Faye and David walk down to the beach. They are going swimming. There are many people on the beach. Dogs are playing on the beach, too. Everybody is having a great time. Faye and David put their things on the beach. They are getting ready to swim. They see a man running on the beach. "David, what's that man doing?" asks Faye. "I don't know," replies David. "He's running very fast," says Faye.

The Man has a bag. "Stop! Stop!" shouts a woman. "Stop him! He has my bag." Faye says, "That man has the woman's bag!". "Quick let's stop him," says David. Faye gets her phone and calls Daniela. "Daniela, it's Faye. Stop that man running towards you!" "Okay, I can see him," says Daniela. "I'll stop him, " she says. Daniela pushes the ice cream cart into the man and he falls down. He drops the woman's bag. Daniela tries to stop the man but he is too big and strong and she can't stop him. The man gets up and takes the woman's bag again. He runs away to the park.

It is raining and the sky is grey. Carla goes to the market and looks at the umbrellas for sale. She likes a red umbrella. It is very smart and it costs ten dollars. However Carla is a student and she doesn't have much money. She asks the umbrella seller to sell it for seven dollars and the seller agrees. "OK young lady, this is your lucky day," He says. "Give me seven dollars and the umbrella is yours."

"This is my lucky day!" says Carla. She holds the red umbrella above her head and the rain starts to fall on the umbrella, pat, pat pat. Carla goes to a cake shop because she wants to buy some small cakes. Her little brother loves cakes. She goes into the shop and leaves her red umbrella near the door inside the shop.

It is very quiet in the shop. Carla chooses three small cakes and she talks to the shop assistant. Another customer, a young woman, leaves the shop. She is holding a cake box. Carla leaves the shop but her red umbrella is not there! There is one umbrella near the door but it is old, black and broken. It has a pattern of yellow ducks. It is not Carla's new red umbrella. "Oh no! Who has my umbrella?" says Carla. She is sad and picks up the old, black umbrella instead. 

Carla walks to the town center. A young man in blue coat approaches her and says "Hello, you must be Marissa's friend ". Carla is confused. "I don't know anybody called Marissa!" she says. "But you have Marissa's umbrella!" says the young man...
