Moc nominalną paneli podaje się dla standardowych warunków atmosferycznych STC (Standard Test Conditions) które zakładają:

nasłonecznienie 1000 W/m2
temperaturę ogniw oświetlanego panelu +25°C

Uzyskanie warunków STC w Polsce jest trudne, dlatego bardziej obiektywne będą parametry paneli dla warunków NOCT (Normal Operating Cell Temperature - temperatura ogniwa w normalnych warunkach pracy). Warunki te są następujące:

nasłonecznienie 800 W/m2
temperatura otoczenia oświetlanego panelu +20C
