Be Curious 4 Final Exam Review

Remember. We use comparatives to compare 2 things.

We make "adjectives" comparatives by adding "-er" and "than"

for example.

big -> bigger than

tall -> taller than

smart -> smarter than

if the adjective ends in "y" change the "y" to an "i".

happy -> happier than

funny -> funnier than

good -> better than

for adjectives with 3 syllables we use "more" and "than"

interesting -> more interesting than

intelligent -> more intelligent than

exciting -> more exciting than

to say that something is the "best". We use a superlative.

We make the superlative by adding "the" and "-est" to a verb.

quick -> the quickest

fast -> the fastest

tall -> the tallest

good -> the best

for adjectives with 3 syllables we use "the most"

interesting -> the most interesting

intelligent -> the most intelligent

boring -> the most boring
