Solving inequalities
How to solve for a variable in an inequality

2
One step inequalities
Recall how to solve a one step equation: We perform the inverse (opposite) operation to both sides of the equal sign to solve.
The same process is used with inequalities except we have a > < ≤≥
3
Example solving one step inequalities
6x≤18 We have multiplication occuring, so we will divide both sides by 6 to solve.
66x≤618 Here we are dividing both sides by 6.
