Dream House Project

In this project, you will design your dream house or apartment and create a floor plan or drawing depicting it. Once designed, you will need to label the rooms of the house in French. Finally, you will write sentences in French describing what furniture items and appliances there are in some of the rooms.

What you will turn in by Friday May 27th

• Floor plan or drawing of house with all rooms labeled and some furniture items/appliances drawn

• Sentences describing what furniture items/appliances can be found in 3 different rooms of the house

1. Floor Plan/Drawing

• Does not need to be beautiful!

• Can be a drawing of a house (doll house style) or a floor plan​

• Must have at least 5 rooms in the drawing

• Must label those 5 rooms in French

• Must include furniture items/appliances drawn in each of the rooms

2. Sentences describing some rooms

• Must describe 3 different rooms with what can be found in them

• Must include at least 4 furniture items/appliances in each of the rooms described

• Must use the sentence structure "Dans (the room), il y a (the furniture item/appliance)."

Challenge Yourself (and go for an A) - do 2+

• Include extra rooms in the drawing/floor plan labeled in French

• Describe more than 3 rooms

• Include more than 4 furniture items/appliances in your descriptions of the rooms

• Include extra sentences that describe which rooms are on which level

• Include transition words​
