Simple Present - expresses something we see as permanent or unchanging - facts, habits, routines

Example --> He eats a lot of junk food. / I call my mom everyday.

Present Continuous (Progressive) expresses:

1. something happening at the time of speaking

2. A temporary or currently changing situation

3. Something happening around the time of speaking

Present Perfect expresses:

1. when a past even has an impact on, or relevance in, the present

2. when something started in the past and continues to the present

Present Continuous: "to be + verb-ing"

--> I am going to the mall right now. / They are waiting for the bus.

Present Perfect: have/has + past participle

--> She has seen that movie before. / I have lived here for five years.

Simple past expresses (1) the main events in a sequence (2) a general state in the past

Past continuous expresses (1) the bakground to an event within the story (2) an interruption to a past event

Past Perfect expresses one event had happened before another in the past

Simple Past: -ed, -ied, & irregular verbs

--> He ate my lunch yesterday. / I used to like playing soccer.

Past Continuous: "was/were + verb-ing"

--> It was raining when I had the accident. / I was working at 9pm yesterday.

Past Perfect: had + past participle

--> She had never been to Greece before 2018. / They had lived in NJ before moving to Texas.

Simple Future is used for:

1. Making predictions

2. Plans and arrangements

3. Instant decisions and offers

Grammar: WILL / WON'T

Examples:

---> I will fly to Las Vegas tomorrow. / She won't go to prom with me. / I will help you change your flat tire.
