Steps

Install node.js (it is required to run npm). IMPORTANT: The installer will ask if you want to install dependencies. Say NO. Do not install dependencies. Only install node.js
Install surge using nmp
Run surge to upload files (optional)

Open the node.js command prompt, type "npm install --global surge" and hit enter (see next slide for more information)
