Differentiated Text - Coyote Learns a Lesson

Rabbit and Beaver were friends. Coyote played tricks on Rabbit and Beaver. Then Coyote laughed and laughed.

One day, Rabbit saw Coyote sleeping. He decided to trick Coyote. “I will put Coyote on a log. I will push the log into the water. Coyote will have to swim back.”

Rabbit asked Beaver for help. Rabbit said, “Beaver, I need your cooperation. Will you help me?”

“Yes!” said Beaver.

The two friends tried to lift Coyote. Coyote was too heavy! So Rabbit and Beaver rolled the log next to Coyote. They pushed Coyote on the log. Then they pushed the log into the water. The log floated into the middle of the lake. Then Rabbit and Beaver shouted, “COYOTE, WAKE UP!”
