Adding and Subtracting integers.

To add or subtract an integer you have to do what you would normally do with adding or subtracting but there are different rule sets. If you add a negative with a negative it makes a positive. If you do negative minus negative it will equal a postive.

Hello my name is Ethan Im going to be explaining integers An integer is a whole number that can be positive, negative, or zero. Therefore, the numbers 10, 0, -25, and 5,148 are all integers. integers cannot have decimal places.

RULE 1: The product of a positive integer and a negative integer is negative. RULE 2: The product of two positive integers is positive. RULE 3: The product of two negative integers is positive. RULE 1: The quotient of a positive integer and a negative integer is negative.

To multiply signed integers, always multiply the absolute values and use these rules to determine the sign of the answer. When you multiply two integers with the same signs, the result is always positive. Just multiply the absolute values and make the answer positive.

When you divide two integers with different signs, the result is always negative. Just divide the absolute values and make the answer negative. But if it's the same sign it's always positive
