"This poor widow...has put in everything she had, all she had to live on..." Mark 12:43-44

Open Ended
Opening Reflection: What responsibilities come with God's gifts to each of us?
3
A Gift for All
In the beginning God entrusted the earth and its resources to the common stewardship of mankind to take care of them, master them by labor, and enjoy their fruits. The goods of creation are destined for the whole human race. So, remember, use the goods of creation to glorify God and to benefit all human beings, aka being a good steward!
4
Privilege and Responsibility Go Hand in Hand
Stewardship - caring for goods and possessions that have been entrusted to a person by their rightful owner (God is the rightful owner of creation and we are the caretakers of those given resources) #tillandkeep
As Christian stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord.

9
In Closing
Jesus' disciples and Christian stewards recognize God as the origin of life, giver of freedom, and source of all things. We are grateful for the gifts we have received and are eager to use them to show our love for God and for one another. We look to the life and teaching of Jesus for guidance in living as Christian stewards.
